Q. once in a blue moonはどういうときに使いますか？

A. I am not a big chocolate lover, but once in a blue moon, I crave for chocolate cake.という調子で、「ごくたまに」とか｢ごくまれに」という意味合いで使います。ご存知blue moonは、ひとつの月(例えば8月）の間に満月が2回起こる稀な2回目の満月をさします。
